Happy Halloween

This is how most of our planned photos go lately.
Our Little Red Riding Hood

Our Puffy Ballerina Duck

We had a great time trick-or-treating despite the weather. Wraiya walked all around showing off her new squeakers. Carys was so excited at each piece of candy and told each and every person "thank you". She is such a polite little girl.
Carys continues to enjoy her preschool class and seems to be quite the popular girl. She really enjoys playing with Wraiya and does a great job sharing all "her toys". They love trashing Carys' room.
Wraiya is trying so hard to run. Her legs just can't keep up yet. She loves, loves, loves books and babies. Actually, both girls are. Carys' favs seem to be the Fancy Nancy's and Purplicious. We hear Wraiya saying baby and book all day. She loves all stories.
Wraiya is so tiny and everyone tells us that she doesn't look like she's old enough to even be walking. God blessed us with two fantastic girls. Carys is still in gymnastics and is working on mastering the mini bar. We may add karate or ice skating in January.

Wraiya's One

Wraiya turned one on September 17!! We are now moving into the toddler years yet again. She had her one year check up and weighed in at 18 pounds and 28.5 inches. Wraiya is our other miracle girl. She has gained 13 pounds since she was born and had grew almost 10 inches.

Her birthday bash was so much fun. We celebrated with our family and our close friends. Calico, the clown, provided great entertainment. She did a magic show followed by face painting and balloon animals for everyone. Thanks to everyone that was a participant in the magic show. You really didn't know what was coming did you Uncle Geri!?!?Carys and I had a great time making Wraiya's cake. We also made cupcakes for the party and Carys kept telling me she couldn't wait to eat one. It was really hard for her to look at the yummy treats all day!! Wraiya loved her cake. She torn right into it. She really wasn't messy because the cake made it from the plate, to her hands, to her mouth.

Just Sharing...

My baby girl is gonna be ONE in two days!!!!

Carys loved playing at the beach in Mackinaw City over Labor Day weekend. We were up for the annual Pawson gathering...there were around 60 of us (I think).

Carys ending her first gymnastic class, a "rookie" this year, by jumping in the blocks. She loves this!! She has also started her second year of preschool. She only allowed me to take one photo and it was not very cute so I'll be keeping this one for her high school graduation party.

Summer Months

This has been a fantastic summer for our family. We have been taking a lot of mini vacations, attending local attractions and loving every minute of it. In June we went to New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York City. We took the girls to Sesame Place in PA, after seeing it on Jon & Kate Plus 8. Carys loved, loved, loved riding the roller coaster. She threw her hands up in the air and screamed. Wraiya hung out in the stroller or front pack like usual. We took the train from New Jersey into Penn Station in New York City. The train ride was super smooth and fun. The girls had their first cab ride which was a treat...Carys was pleased riding without a car seat. We spent the day at Battery Park and taking a Harbor Cruise of the "princess" otherwise known as the Statue of Liberty.

In July we went to Traverse City to the Cherry Festival. We stayed with Gdpa & Gdma Davis in their motor home. Traveling by motor home is great with kids. I wish we could do that all the time for trips two plus hours. The girls played at the beach. Wraiya loves to eat sand!!
Our August will be pretty low key but we start our travels Labor Day weekend by going up to Mackinaw City and will be going to Mackinaw Island in October. Who knows...maybe we'll talk Daddy (mostly me) into going back to Disney World.
Wraiya is growing like a weed. She is now 10 months-old. She is crawling all over the place, cruising, increasing her vocabulary and signs "more". She has such a sweet disposition, just like Carys. Wraiya now has five, with her sixth tooth emerging.

Carys and I are attending a summer camp, each Thursday in August. She is swimming with swimmies and loves to play outside. She is really on this kick of wanting to play hockey. We were at the Toy House and she chose for her toy a hockey set which included: 2 hockey sticks, a net, a puck and a ball. Carys also wants to resume gymnastics in the Fall and maybe soccer. We will have to see. We took the girls to the Hot Air Jubilee at the Jackson Airport. There was a humpty dumpty balloon and I started to say the nursery rhyme. Carys told me to stop because she wanted to say it "all by myself". Her version start as follows:"Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall. Humpty Dumpty had a great day......" I love what things she comes up with. One last thing to share.
We ere at the zoo a few weeks ago and we were watching the elephants when one happened to poop and then step in it. When she was telling her dad about what she had seen the conversation went into "no daddy, elephants don't go poop on the potty because they DON'T HAVE HANDS TO FLUSH." Of course!!

What's New

Happy 2009!!!! I am way behind on my posting. We experienced a little computer problem and ended up needed an external hard drive. So, now I can save an post photos again! A lot has happened with our family since my last post.

Right before Thanksgiving, we made another trip to Disney World. We just visted there in November of 2007. Carys had a blast this year as well. Wraiya slept the entire time in the front pack. She melted her daddy's heart by asking to go to "the castle", so we went again this year. I'm putting my foot down...we won't go until Wraiya is almost 2.

Wraiya turned 3 months old on December 17 and is now almost 4 months old. She is such a wonderful baby! I feel as though she is growing way to quickly. With Carys, I felt like I had a baby for a long time because she was so tiny. Wraiya loves to watch what is going on around her and is having a fun time exploring with her voice! I'll share her stats after her well-baby visit.

We enjoyed the Christmas holiday with our two princesses. Carys opened every ones gifts. She had a blast and kept saying "Look!", "Is this from Santa?" She was a ton of fun this year. Wraiya just chilled during the unwrapping of the gifts. Our house was trashed!!!!

New Year's Eve was spent with the Drew family this year. It was a fun, relaxing time. We had way too much food. The girls had a blast playing with one another. Carys made it until 11:30pm. She was quite the trooper.

Carys is now 3 years old!! WOW!!!! Time is flying!!!! She could not narrow down a theme this year. Her party and cake was a mixture of all her choices: blue dinner plates; Disney princess cake plates, napkins and table cloth; red cups; pink and yellow plastic ware. It was very colorful. You only turn 3 once and I wanted her day to be all of her personality!! We had a Winter Bonfire Birthday Party. Carys loves being outside. We did the food inside and then made smores over the bonfire. This was my first bonfire in January. I loved it!!
Tim has been traveling a lot for work. He's regularly going to New Jersey. He is also going to Pennsylvania, West Virginia and next week he'll be in California. I can't remember if Florida was in the travels or not. I continue to stay home with the girls. I will probably return back to doing therapy on a contractual basis in April. It might be sooner if the offer is sweet for the Infant Mental Health therapist offer. Time will tell. Thanks for checking in on us!!
