Box Play

Carys and I have had a fun day today. I think it's because she slept all through the night last night. This little one began sleeping through the night her second month home. In the beginning of October she decided she wanted to wake up a few times during the night to cuddle, but to only cuddle with mom. I prayed and prayed that she would get back to sleeping through the night soon. God answered my prayers last night!!

We were invited to something amazing this morning. Carys' Grandma Barb has been taking care of this stray cat for a few months now. She called us this morning to say that this cat, named Katee, had kittens. Carys and I quickly got loaded up and drove to see the kittens. Carys fell asleep on the way so she didn't get to see them. I did. I haven't seen kittens this small since I was a little girl. This was very neat.

When we got back home I started to restock her changing table. This resulted in a box being emptied. While in her room she started playing with it, tasting it, and just looking at it. Later on when we were playing I saw her trying to get inside the box. She got frustrated because she couldn't figure how to get in it. So, mommy helped put her in it. She played in the box for about 30 minutes. She is too cute!! My mom just recently shared a storey with me that when I was little she and I use to play in a large box that a fridge came in. She said we would spend hours just playing and coloring the inside and outside of the box. This is something that I plan on doing with Carys.

Grandma Barb is so very proud today of the fact that the 'tradition is being carried on!' :-) Lots to be said for crayons and a card board box!! Speaking from experience~

I sure do enjoy your "blog". This child is just the cutest! It is amazing how fast she is growing. Her Grandma Davis (great) would sure like to see her.

I'm glad Carys had such a fun time in her box...it's funny how the simplest things can make the best toys. We love tags around here!
