Fun time @ Great Wolf Lodge

Carys at her Ladies & Gentleman's Tea Party at her school.

She just couldn't let go even when she fell asleep.

Happy 2009!!!! I am way behind on my posting. We experienced a little computer problem and ended up needed an external hard drive. So, now I can save an post photos again! A lot has happened with our family since my last post.
Right before Thanksgiving, we made another trip to Disney World. We just visted there in November of 2007. Carys had a blast this year as well. Wraiya slept the entire time in the front pack. She melted her daddy's heart by asking to go to "the castle", so we went again this year. I'm putting my foot down...we won't go until Wraiya is almost 2.
Wraiya turned 3 months old on December 17 and is now almost 4 months old. She is such a wonderful baby! I feel as though she is growing way to quickly. With Carys, I felt like I had a baby for a long time because she was so tiny. Wraiya loves to watch what is going on around her and is having a fun time exploring with her voice! I'll share her stats after her well-baby visit.

We enjoyed the Christmas holiday with our two princesses. Carys opened every ones gifts. She had a blast and kept saying "Look!", "Is this from Santa?" She was a ton of fun this year. Wraiya just chilled during the unwrapping of the gifts. Our house was trashed!!!!

New Year's Eve was spent with the Drew family this year. It was a fun, relaxing time. We had way too much food. The girls had a blast playing with one another. Carys made it until 11:30pm. She was quite the trooper.
Carys set up a tea party for Wraiya and insisted that I put her in the Bumbo so she could "pretend feed her".
Carys with her classmates for her very first preschool Halloween party.
Wraiya was a trooper her first Halloween. Carys kept telling people that Wraiya was a Princess Lamb. This is because earlier in the day we put a small tutu on Wraiya...and I forgot to put it back on her in her costume...so she really was a lamb. Minnie Mouse was so excited about all the different kind of candy she was given. She was even eager to share with mommy and daddy.
Wraiya and I stayed at the house and passed out candy with the grandparents while Tim took Carys trick-or-treating with her cousins. Wraiya was wide eyed once she woke up. It was a warm, beautiful night for the kids to be out and about.

These last four weeks have went so quickly! Wraiya has really brought a lot of extra joy to our family. She is growing like a weed. At birth she weighed 5 lbs 6 ounces, at discharge and her first doctor weight check she weighed 5 lbs 1 ounce...at 3 weeks she weighed 6 pounds 8 ounces. I was shocked!! She is also getting stronger every day. She lifts her head when on her belly and turn it side to side. Carys is getting a lot better at holding her. It's so sweet to see them look at one another. There are so many times that I'm holding Wraiya and I see Carys as an infant. I'm sure part of it is that Wraiya is wearing Carys' hand-me-downs!! We sure to love this little princess. The first thing Carys says in the morning is "where's my baby sister".
At the beginning of the month we went to the Hidden Lake Gardens Fall Foliage Festival. Carys enjoyed a hayride, corn maze and various crafts using all natural elements. She thought all the different scarecrows were really interesting.

At Flavor Fruit Farms they had pony rides for the kids. Carys was so excited to see that when we arrived, asking right away, "I ride the ponies, pleeeeease". I think the guy leading the pony scared her a little, but one daddy walked beside her she was fine.
Here's a little sneak peek of Wraiya's room. The white and pink flowers are painted on the wall is a few spots around her room.
Carys has to hold Wraiya every morning before school. When Wraiya and I drop Carys off at school Carys has to give her a hug, kiss and "noses". Since Wraiya has been born, Carys seems to be such a big girl now. Gotta love these two girls!!!!
Wraiya was born kicking and screaming on September 17, 2008 at 3:52pm
She weighed 5 pounds 6 ounces and she was 18 inches long

Carys loves being a big sister and wants to help with everything. The day after Wraiya was born Carys went shopping with her daddy and picked out tons or toys for "baby sister". She likes to play with her toys too.

I'm really enjoying my new family of four...even the tired, sleepless times. Faces like this make those tired, sleepless times worth every second!!!!

Baby Update: I'm currently 33 weeks+ and doing well. Only 2 more shots left!! This little princess is weighing around 4 lbs 8 ounces. She hiccups several times a day. Tim painted her room this weekend and in a few weeks a friend will be coming to paint some flowers on the wall. When the room is complete I'll share a photo.

On the weekends the three of us have been spending time at Grandpa and Grandma Davis' pool. Carys loves the pool. She has learned to only enter and exit the pool at the ladder, despite what she sees her cousins do. She's doing the doggy paddle, kicking her feet, putting her face in the water to blow bubbles and laying back on our hands to float. We put a small blow up pool in our back yard that she loves just as much as the "big pool". Our neighbors that have two little girls just put up a little pool and invited Carys over for a swim. The girls were having a blast splashing each other. We have been doing a lot with the Drew family and really enjoying ourselves. Their daughters are Lana and Chloe. Carys and the Drew girls could pass for triplets as they are all the same size with light hair. Carys asks everyday to go play with them and their mom says they do the same.

Now, baby update. I will be 27 weeks on Friday. Carys was born at 27 weeks. We are all praying that this little girl decides not to follow in her big sisters footsteps. My every other week doctor's visits and ultrasounds are a bit wearing...we have to drive the 50 minutes to either U of M hospital or to our OB. Carys continues to love going to hear or see "baby sister". This week she decided she would carry around the picture frame that holds the baby's first ultrasound photo (the size of a bean). Here is a photo of my belly at 25 weeks.
